We Want You to Feel Informed & Comfortable Before Beginning Therapy.
Below you’ll find answers to some common questions about our practice, virtual therapy, getting started, and your rights as a client.
If you do not have health insurance or choose not to use your insurance for therapy, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care. Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide uninsured and self-pay clients with an estimate of anticipated charges when services are scheduled in advance or when an estimate is requested.
Your Good Faith Estimate will help you understand what you can expect to pay for your therapy services. You may request an estimate before scheduling or at any time during your care. If the amount you are ultimately billed by a provider is $400 or more above the amount listed on your
Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
We encourage you to keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
For additional information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit CMS.gov/medical-bill-rights or call the No Surprises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059.

A great place to begin is by reaching out for a free consultation.
Starting therapy can bring up a lot of questions, especially when there are so many therapists, approaches, and options to choose from. You may want to spend time researching, or you may simply beready to connect with someone and get started. Either way, finding a therapist you feel comfortable with matters.
-
A consultation gives you a chance to get a feel for the therapist, ask questions, and notice whether the connection feels right for you. Therapy is personal, and feeling safe, understood, and at ease with the person you’re talking to can make a meaningful difference in the work you do together.
That’s one of the reasons we offer a free 15-minute consultation. We want to make sure you’re connected with someone who can genuinely support what you’re looking for.
Finding the right therapist can make all the difference. If we believe someone on our team is a good fit, we’ll help you take the next step. And if another therapist or resource would better support your needs, we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction. You can begin with questions. You can begin with uncertainty. You can begin exactly where you are.
-
Absolutely. Our therapists offer secure video sessions for clients located throughout California. Some clients prefer fully virtual therapy, while others combine virtual and in-person sessions. Together, you and your therapist can find an approach that works best for your needs, schedule, and comfort.

That’s a wonderful place to begin. You’re welcome to reach out with questions, uncertainty, or simply a sense that something in your life is ready for support.
When you contact us, we’ll learn a little about what you’re experiencing, what you’re hoping for, and what matters most to you. From there, we can help connect you with a therapist and therapeutic approach that feels like a good fit. You can begin exactly where you are.

LGBTQIA2S+ affirming therapy is about more than using the right pronouns or simply being “LGBTQ-friendly.” It means creating a space where your identity is understood as an important part of your live experience—not something that needs to be explained, defended, or minimized.
Affirming therapy recognizes the impact that homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, heterosexism, minority stress, and other forms of discrimination can have on your mental health, relationships, sense of safety, and connection to yourself. These experiences can be subtle or overt, and they can shape the way youmove through the world over time.
Our therapists bring cultural humility, ongoing learning, and awareness of power and privilege into the therapy room. We remain engaged in continued training, consultation, and connection with LGBTQIA2S+ communities so that our care stays thoughtful, informed, and responsive.
Most importantly, affirming therapy creates space for you to be fully yourself—to explore identity, relationships, healing, joy, and growth in a way that honors who you are.
-
We understand that sometimes reaching out for support feels especially urgent. Appointment availability varies by therapist, and we’ll do our best to connect you with someone on our team who has availability that meets your needs.
Live With Ease Therapy is an outpatient therapy practice and does not provide emergency or crisis response services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need immediate support, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Codependency often looks like prioritizing everyone else's needs and emotions ahead of your own, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling responsible for other people's happiness and stability. If you find yourself exhausted from managing others while losing touch with your own needs, that's often a sign this work could help.
