About Zane Julien, LMFT
Practice Founder & Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (He/They)
Specialties: LGBTQIA2S+ & Gender Identity, Complex Trauma, Relationship Cycles, Addiction Recovery, & Somatic Healing
I’ve been supporting clients for over 20 years, and I opened Live With Ease in Long Beach in 2008. From the beginning, my work has been rooted in creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, understood, and affirmed. A space where you can show up as yourself without feeling the need to armor up, mask, shrink, or explain your basic humanity.
I sit with you as a real person who deeply believes in the healing process because I continue to be in relationship with my own healing, too.
My path into this work began through my own healing journey. Experiencing firsthand how transformative it can be to sit with providers who genuinely understand and honor your lived experience inspired me to return to school and ultimately create the kind of therapeutic space I had once needed myself. That experience continues to shape the way I show up with clients today—with curiosity, compassion, honesty, and a deep respect for your ability to discover and trust your own truth.

Who I Work With:
Beyond The Therapy Room
Outside of work, my life is filled with the practices, people, and places that keep me grounded. I’m nourished by meditation and mindfulness practices, ongoing personal healing and growth, time in nature, long walks, reading, and spending time with family, chosen family, and friends.
